You've been waiting for those certain DVDs to complete your collection. You've offered your soul to distributors around. You've pleaded and asked.....why??? These classic movies have been stripped of their DVD existence. For $50 or so you can find them used on Amazon, from a lonely mother selling her VHS tapes on eBay, or at approximately 3:42am on television.
Drop Dead Fred (1991)
The best imaginary friend that one can have, and '80s star Phoebe Cates did, for years. He'll be with you in the worst of times. True he does create the havoc that gets you in trouble with your detestable mother, but he always wears a fancy green suit, and has Robert Smith hair - so it's worth it. But a 5.2 rating on IMDB. Really?
I'm willing to Drop Dead...Fred, for this to come out on DVD!
Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! (1965)
"I don't beat clocks, just people! Wanna try me?" -Varla
Before there was Death Proof, there were three voluptuous strippers lookin' for kicks on the road in this 1965 cult classic from Russ Meyer. There's speed! There's dames! There's violence! This one shines in the long drought of strong female roles on the screen. You may catch Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! at a midnight showing somewhere on the outskirts of town, or its fast talking heroine Tura Satana at a convention center schmoozing with fans.
Truly Madly Deeply (1990)
Professor Snape gets sentimental. Before directing the Oscar-winning The English Patient, Anthony Minghella brought forth this story that resonates with you truly, madly, and deeply. An English woman dealing with the sudden death of her boyfriend, played by Alan Rickman, is unprepared for his ghostly return. The connection between the two remains postmortem.
Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! (1990)
My God, Pedro Almodóvar has a number of his films unavailable to die hard fans. This is one that's out of print my dears, and shouldn't be. Before Antonio Banderas blessed our ears in Evita, he was a recently released mental patient into S&M, who kidnaps a porn star and tries to convince her to be his wife. Átame!
